Packing Tape

Acrylic packaging tape and machine-length carton sealing tape by the case, factory-direct: acrylic hand tape in 1.7 and 2.0 mil, clear or tan, 55–110 yd rolls, plus 1,000 yd machine length tape for automated case sealers. Meets postal regulations for carton sealing.

Which tape do you need?

• 1.7 mil acrylic — the everyday workhorse for cartons under ~30 lb. Quiet unwind, ages well in storage, resists yellowing.
• 2.0 mil Super Seal — heavier cartons, recycled corrugate, and shipments that sit in hot trailers. Thicker film, stronger hold.
• Machine tape (1,000 yd) — for tape heads and case sealers. One machine roll replaces nine 110-yd hand rolls: fewer changeovers, lower cost per sealed carton.
• Clear vs tan — clear shows the carton print; tan hides re-taping and matches kraft cartons.

Cost per yard, not per roll

Case pricing is where tape gets cheap: a 110-yd roll seals roughly 40–45 standard cartons, so a 36-roll case covers ~1,500 shipments. Compare tape on price per yard — short 55-yd rolls often cost more per carton than they look.

FAQ

Acrylic vs hot melt? Acrylic is quieter, UV-stable and ideal for most e-commerce parcels; hot melt grips harder on heavy or dusty recycled corrugate. We stock acrylic on the store — hot melt is available on wholesale quotes.

Will 2" tape meet carrier requirements? Yes — 2" acrylic carton sealing tape meets USPS/UPS/FedEx sealing guidelines for standard parcels; use the H-taping pattern on heavier boxes.
